K5 Hospitality is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead the team at AltaToro, our modern Latin restaurant concept in Atlanta.
As General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of restaurant operations in partnership with the Executive Chef, ensuring that our culinary vision, hospitality standards, and overall guest experience are executed consistently. We are looking for a hands-on leader who understands that our employees are at the heart of our success and who is passionate about building strong teams, developing future leaders, and creating an exceptional dining experience.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in upscale or high-volume dining, a strong understanding of restaurant financials and operations, and the ability to lead with confidence, accountability, and energy. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.

General Manager Responsibilities:
  • Lead all day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure the restaurant operates efficiently, consistently, and profitably.
  • Build, develop, and retain a capable, confident, and engaged management and service team.
  • Create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
  • Develop and mentor employees at all levels, helping to cultivate the next generation of restaurant leaders.
  • Partner closely with the Executive Chef to ensure seamless communication and execution between the front and back of house.
  • Ensure all company systems, policies, procedures, and service standards are consistently maintained.
  • Take ownership of controllable costs, including labor, food, beverage, and operating supplies.
  • Monitor restaurant financials and key performance indicators to ensure the business is operating efficiently and meeting financial goals.
  • Assist with forecasting, budgeting, and the development of short- and long-term financial and operational goals.
  • Uphold all company food safety, food handling, sanitation, and health and safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations, including labor laws and employment practices.
  • Maintain high standards for guest service and ensure guest concerns are addressed professionally and effectively.
  • Represent the AltaToro brand and its modern Latin identity through exceptional hospitality, leadership, and guest engagement.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive markets, and opportunities to improve the restaurant's performance.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in upscale, high-volume, or chef-driven dining.
  • Fluent in both English and Spanish – required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, train, motivate, and develop employees at multiple levels.
  • Extensive knowledge of upscale dining, hospitality standards, service, and sales.
  • Strong understanding of restaurant financials, revenue management, budgeting, forecasting, and controllable costs.
  • Ability to consistently and fairly evaluate employee performance and hold teams accountable to established standards.
  • Extensive knowledge of the food and beverage industry and competitive restaurant markets.
  • Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a leadership team.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using technology and restaurant systems to streamline daily administrative and operational tasks.
  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for modern Latin cuisine, culture, hospitality, and creating memorable guest experiences is highly valued.
